Time passes so quickly. It has been a very busy year at the Kiever Shul. Many events have been held, many more are scheduled, and our Shabbos services have been well attended, growing in both size and demographics with a wonderful sense of spirit. It seems we are becoming younger and more vibrant from year to year.
Last year,we celebrated my brother Max’s 100th Birthday. Unfortunately, Max, our long time Treasurer of the Kiever, passed away at home on Shabbos March 16th,2013, a few months short of 101 years. He dutifully carried out his role with great diligence and will be sorely missed by his many associates, friends and congregants, as well as his relatives. To those who attended his funeral service, attended the Shiva, honored his memory with charitable donations, or sent their condolences in various forms, we send our personal appreciation.
We wish you and your families good health in the New Year and look forward to seeing you at Shul during the upcoming High Holy Days.
